Your gut and your brain aren't the same thing

Nobody talks about the two brains thing when you're staring at a term sheet. Stanford found it years ago. One brain reacts in a tenth of a second. The other takes minutes to catch up and check the work. Operators who scale use both on purpose. Fast read first, gut reaction, no editing. Then they slow down and interrogate that reaction like a stranger's opinion. Wait, it gets better. The ones who stall don't lack instinct. They just never separate the two. They let panic grade its own homework. Fast to sense. Slow to decide. That order is the whole game.
