He had two wives and we didn't know

TIFU by checking my husband phone and finding out I am not the only wife. My name is Rachel and I have been married to Daniel for five years. Last month he started acting strange. He would leave the room to take calls. He started showering before bed instead of after work. Something felt off in my gut. One night he fell asleep early after a long day at work. His phone buzzed on the nightstand and I saw a message preview. It said something about picking up the kids from school on Thursday. We do not have kids. My heart started pounding. I picked up his phone and tried his birthday as the passcode. It worked on the first try. What I found inside broke something inside me forever. There were photos of another woman holding two small children. There were messages calling her wifey and talking about their anniversary next month. I scrolled further back and found out they had been together for seven years. Seven years means he met her two years before he even met me. I sat on the bathroom floor shaking for almost an hour. I did not wake him up. I needed proof before I said anything because men like him lie right to your face. The next morning I called in sick to work and drove to the address I found in his location history. It was a small house in a quiet neighborhood about thirty minutes away. A woman opened the door holding a toddler on her hip. She looked confused when she saw me standing there. I asked her if she knew a man named Daniel who drove a silver truck. Her face went pale immediately. She said that was her husband and he was at work. I showed her photos from his phone of us at our wedding. She started crying and said she had no idea he was married to someone else. We sat on her porch for two hours comparing stories. Turns out he told her he traveled for work every other week. He told me the exact same thing. He had been splitting his life perfectly between two households for five years straight. She had two kids with him and I have none because he kept saying he was not ready yet. Now I understood why he always came home late on Sundays smelling like someone else perfume. We decided to confront him together that same night. She drove to my house with her kids in the back seat. When Daniel walked through the door and saw both of us standing there his face turned white as paper. He tried to explain himself but there was nothing to explain anymore. He said he loved us both differently and thought he could make it work forever. I asked him how he managed two mortgages two phone bills and two entire lives without either of us noticing. He admitted he used a separate bank account that his mother helped him hide from both of us. His own mother knew the entire time and even babysat for both families separately. She would tell me he was fishing with friends while she was actually watching his other children. The woman I thought was my mother in law had been helping him lie to me for five years. I felt sick knowing she sat across from me at every holiday dinner smiling. The other wife and I ended up calling a lawyer together the very next day. Turns out neither marriage was even legal since he never divorced his first wife before marrying either of us. There is possibly a third woman we have not found yet based on messages we discovered from an old phone backup. We are both staying in the house until we figure out what happens with the property and his assets. His mother stopped answering both of our calls and blocked us on every platform she had. Daniel moved into his truck because neither of us will let him stay another night. I keep wondering how many other secrets were hiding behind his easy smile and charming excuses. The scariest part is thinking about how close I came to never finding out the truth. If his phone had not buzzed that one night I might still be living a complete lie right now. Now I am left wondering if the third woman exists and if she even knows about either of us yet.
