Discipline isn't grinding, it's knowing when to stop

Nobody talks about this part of discipline: knowing when to reward yourself. Wilbon's been on air for decades. Not because he's the loudest guy in the room. Because he showed up when the cameras weren't even worth watching. Here's the mistake most people make. They think consistency means punishment. No breaks, no celebration, just work. That's not discipline, that's burnout with a nicer name. The guy who lasts 30 years learned when to push and when to clock out guilt free. You're not losing to talented people. You're losing to people who stayed in the room longer than you.
