Submit correctly: links, pre-submit checks, and avoiding instant blocks
Pass all 9 pre-submission checks on your first attempt by using supported canonical URLs, matching connected accounts, respecting the freshness window, and confirming disclosures and usage rights.
Overview
When you paste a link into the Submit Clip dialog, ReelsBuilder runs real-time checks before you even click Submit. Understanding every check—and what each status badge means—saves you from blocked links or preventable rejections.
Test your post URL before opening the Submit dialog
Paste any Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or X post URL below—or click a sample—to verify that it uses the canonical format, check which @handle will be matched against your connected accounts, and decode its post timestamp.
1. Supported platforms and exact URL formats
Always copy the full post address from a browser. Shortened redirect links cannot be verified offline and will be blocked immediately.
Here are the exact URL formats accepted by ReelsBuilder's native submission parser:
instagram.com/reel/{code} or instagram.com/p/{code}
Reels, posts (/p/), and /tv/ URLs with a valid shortcode are supported. For automatic organic view updates, connect an Instagram Business or Creator account.
tiktok.com/@{handle}/video/{id} (Full link required)
Must include your @handle and the numeric video/photo ID. Short links such as tiktok.com/t/..., vm.tiktok.com/..., or vt.tiktok.com/... are rejected—open the post in a browser first and copy the full address.
youtube.com/shorts/{id}, youtube.com/watch?v={id}, or youtu.be/{id}
Standard 11-character YouTube video IDs are supported. ReelsBuilder checks public video ownership against your connected YouTube channel.
x.com/{handle}/status/{id} or twitter.com/{handle}/status/{id}
Must include the author handle and numeric status ID (no /i/web/status/... links without a handle, as the handle is matched against your connected X account).
Facebook links are not supported for native campaign submission yet
Pasting a facebook.com or fb.watch link will return: 'Facebook posts can't be submitted here yet.' Only submit platforms listed on the campaign's brief.
2. The 9 automated pre-submit checks explained
As soon as you paste a link in the Submit dialog, ReelsBuilder evaluates nine conditions and displays Pass, Needs check, or Blocked:
Joined status & open intake
The campaign must be native, its intake must be Open or Almost full, and your membership status on that campaign must be Joined.
Creator earnings cap
If the campaign has a per-creator cap and you have already reached it, additional submissions are blocked.
Canonical URL format
Verifies that the URL belongs to Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, or X and extracts the normalized post key (platform:postId).
Allowed and open platform on the campaign
Confirms the campaign accepts that platform and that the platform hasn't been paused (held) or closed by the campaign manager.
Approved draft (only when Draft Approval is enabled)
If the campaign requires draft approval, you must select an Approved draft for the same platform and connected account before submitting the live link.
Connected social account & ownership match
Checks that you have an active connected account for that platform in Settings → Connections and that the handle/channel matches the post author.
Campaign start date & freshness window (default 72 hours)
Posts published before the campaign started or older than the campaign's freshness window (72 hours by default) are blocked.
One submission per post across all campaigns
Each social post can only be submitted once across ReelsBuilder. Also note: if you manually Withdraw a submission, that post key cannot be submitted again.
View measurement readiness
Displays whether automatic view updates are active (TikTok public videos, Instagram Business/Creator accounts) or whether views require confirmed counts during review.
While your clip is still in 'Checking' (submitted) status and hasn't been picked up by a reviewer, you can click 'Move to another campaign' in My Submissions (/dashboard/v5/campaigns/mine) to transfer it to another native campaign you've joined. Do NOT click Withdraw if you plan to re-use the post—withdrawn posts cannot be submitted again.
3. Batch submissions, disclosures, and usage rights
The Submit dialog supports both single-clip verification and batch submission (up to 10 links at once, one URL per line) when a campaign does not require individual draft matching.
Before the Submit button activates, you must check the required confirmation boxes at the bottom of the dialog:
Disclosure confirmation
You confirm that your post includes the campaign's required paid-partnership disclosure (for example, #ad or platform Paid Partnership label).
Usage rights acceptance (when specified by the campaign)
If the campaign brief specifies usage rights (for example, allowing the brand to repost approved clips with credit), you must read and accept those terms before submitting.
Concrete Example: Fixing two blocked pre-submit checks in 60 seconds
Verified workflow walkthrough: Jordan pastes a TikTok link into the Submit dialog and sees two red 'Blocked' badges.
- 1. Diagnose the Link block
Jordan pasted https://vm.tiktok.com/ZM12345/. The dialog shows: 'Paste the post's full link: open it in a browser and copy the address.' Jordan opens the link in a browser and copies https://www.tiktok.com/@jordancreates/video/7390000000000000000.
- 2. Diagnose the Account block
The Account check now says the handle @jordancreates isn't connected. Jordan opens /dashboard/v5/settings?tab=connections, connects @jordancreates, and returns to the Submit dialog.
- 3. Re-check and submit
All checks now show Green ('Pass'), Jordan checks the #ad disclosure confirmation box, and submits the clip.
